Annie and I met in the first day of University. We had chosen exactly the same course options and were assigned the same tutor. We had the same interests and attitudes although our approach and drive were different. But perhaps that was just a factor of being a male and a female!

We fell in love, we lived together, we graduated together, we started our careers at the same time, we bought a house together, we married, we had two beautiful daughters.

We loved to meet people, Annie more than me, and we both liked to party and have fun. Our careers were good, but especially Annie's with her fantastic personality and great support from her company. We decided to venture abroad when I had a job offer overseas and Annie's work took a back seat as we started a family.

My job was full on but I enjoyed it and it just about provided all we needed financially, especially for the girls education. We threw ourselves into the community and living overseas.
